Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or on-line) faculty hired to teach on a semester basis. Immediate needs at the Harrisburg, York, Gettysburg Lebanon, and Lancaster campuses – Ability to teach Anatomy and Physiology.
Spec, Learning Technology Harrisburg, PA
This position installs, tests, and maintains A/V and technology systems in learning spaces, and provides assistance and technical support for learning space technology. This position coordinates with other learning technologies staff to conduct needs assessments for technology systems across the college in keeping with the College's technology standards and at the direction of the Director, Learning Technologies. This position also provides additional media and technology support for Learning Commons and College events, including equipment setup, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and teardown, as needed.
Program Director, Medical Laboratory Technician Harrisburg, PA
A faculty member responsible for campus oversight of the Program curriculum and operations. The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of the program, including the management, administration, continuous review and analysis, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the program at that campus. The Program Director will receive a minimum of 40% overall administrative release time for the academic year to perform the administrative responsibilities to oversee the program on at his/her campus. The Program Director is expected to teach the remaining 60% of the time. Teaching assignments may include any MLT course including lectures and labs for Clinical Chemistry, Hematology and Coagulation, Urinalysis and Body Fluids, Microbiology, Immunohematology, Immunology and Molecular Biology, Introduction to the Lab, and Phlebotomy.
Coordinator, EMS Harrisburg, PA
Responsible for coordinating the activities of program(s) in an academic non-credit area. Incumbent responsibilities generally include developing internal/external partnerships; evaluating program delivery and recommending modifications based on trends, technology, and needs assessments; conducting research and analyzing information; developing program communications; monitoring program grants and assisting with program budget development and implementation. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to Title III grant activities and the Title III Activity Director. The incumbent is responsible for excellent customer service to students, faculty and guests. Other responsibilities include providing periodic department or division support for Title III events or projects.
Fiscal Specialist, General Ledger Harrisburg, PA
Responsible for performing professional accounting and financial analysis requiring the application of general accounting principles including analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts/funds. Responsible for verifying and reconciling all College bank statements to general ledger for accuracy. Perform complex record keeping and process fiscal transactions, journal entries for assigned funds and accounts, and preparation of data and reconciliations for annual financial audit.
Security Officer - York York, PA
Officers are the college's first responders for emergencies and are responsible for patrolling and inspecting the assigned campus and providing safety and security to all students, staff, faulty and visitors as necessary. Additional responsibilities include conducting investigations, enforcing conduct regulations and completing appropriate safety and security documents as required. This position supports new student recruitment and admission through the management and maintenance of the College’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, Recruit. The individual will ensure that all technology is configured, implemented and maintained according to enrollment management best practices. The admissions counselor is responsible for recruiting future students through personalized communications, community interactions and recruitment events. An admissions counselor is an integral and front-facing representative of HACC. They integrate with high school and community partners and future students in the very beginning of the student's educational journey. They are the employees who provide future students with a vision of what life will be like at HACC and how to get started with the application and admissions process. The Academic Advising Specialist provides specialized operational support to campus-wide academic advising initiatives. The incumbent work with director and assistant directors to create and support academic advising programming for advisors, students and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of academic advising. The position also assists with advisor assignments as well as academic advising program assessment.
Coordinator, CARE Center Harrisburg, PA
This position develops, implements, and evaluates systemic interventions and referrals that ameliorate basic needs in a manner that promotes dignity and minimizes the marginalization of HACC students. The position is responsible for hosting one-on-one meetings with students, developing an individualized plan for empowerment and success, immediate assistance, and referral of students to resources related to, but not limited to housing assistance, food assistance, daily necessities, mental health assistance, legal services, and other unforeseen emergencies that impedes student success in college. The incumbent advances and maintains relationships with campus and community partners to provide comprehensive and cohesive services to HACC students, meets with students, assesses their needs, makes appropriate referrals, follows up, and tracks success. This position is required to manage CARE Center and personal HACC emails, phone calls, and walk-ins, and maintain detailed records to ensure the team is working cohesively. This position is responsible for building meaningful relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners and is expected to maintain a campus presence that includes but is not limited to classroom presentations, community partnership meetings, hosting CARE Center events, working across the college to participate in college events, creating content for social media, maintaining an inclusive office environment with resources for students, and the ability to travel to other HACC locations upon request. This position engages in professional development activities to ensure competence in social services and DEI best practices; complete professional development activities, such as memberships in professional organizations, attendance at conferences, workshops, webinars, etc.
Workforce Development (WFD) Instructor - English as a Second Language (ESL) for Community, College and Career Instructor Harrisburg, PA, Lancaster, PA
HACC's Language Institute offers Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels of ESL classes at the Harrisburg, Midtown 1 location and Lancaster campuses as well as off-site for business and industry. Courses begin during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. This position also offers fundamental technology training on College applications to students, faculty, and staff, supports other Learning Commons operations, and supports learning space installation, testing, and troubleshooting as needed.
