Job Summary: This position provides support for daily functions in the Office of Human Resources and will be responsible for transactional work for regular, temporary and student employees. This position will primarily support HR team members in areas of talent management including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, employee records, human resources information systems (HRIS) and compensation and classification.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience in administrative functions or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing Requirements: Valid driver's license.
Hiring Range: $44,213 - $49,740
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in human resources and working with human resource information system (HRIS)
- Experience with Banner or similar Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Familiar with google suite
- Comfortable with Microsoft Suite including but not limited to: outlook, word, excel
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
Job Specific Task List:
- Applies basic understanding of talent acquisition policies and procedures and ensures optimal employee experience and accuracy of details when performing duties which may include: process I9s; provide recruitment and onboarding assistance to applicants, hiring managers, and search committee members; monitor inquires sent to general email account; run background clearances and ensures timely completion of clearances for faculty and staff; trouble-shoot problems with onboarding system; train and assist end users with onboarding. - (Essential)
- Applies basic understanding of employee records policies and procedures to perform duties which may include: managing college-wide organization charts; assist with student employment; assist with record-keeping tasks such as updates and purges. - (Essential)
- Assist with special projects which may include: college-wide initiatives, perform basic research; test/explore new processes; create/update/run reports; create informational/educational materials for employees; serve as backup to staff, including conducting presentations and employee training sessions, as needed. - (Essential)
- Perform administrative support duties, including but not limited to: prepare communications to employees and supervisors; and various administrative support tasks such as filing, scanning, indexing, faxing, and copying. - (Essential)
- Assist with full employee life cycle, which may include the following processes for faculty, staff, and students: onboarding, separations, and reappointments. - (Essential)
