Job Summary: PA-TF1 is part of the National Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Response System. The primary mission of the National Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Response System is the coordination, development, and maintenance of the Federal effort to provide resources to locate, extricate, and provide immediate medical treatment to victims trapped in collapsed structures, as well as to conduct other life-saving operations. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Team members must meet all FEMA general training requirements as defined by current edition of the FEMA US&R Operations Manual.

Licensing Requirements: Team members must meet all FEMA general training requirements as defined by current edition of the FEMA US&R Operations Manual. Team members will be assigned a specific position/role on the team based upon their individual qualifications.

Hiring Range: Varies

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants must be referred by the PA-TF1 Program Manager

Job Specific Task List:

  • PA-TF1 is responsible for selection, training, equipping, mobilization, and deployment of the task force to respond to those situations as outlined in the National Response Framework. - (Essential)
  • HACC serves as a participating agency, employing staff to serve as PA-TF1 team members. - (Essential)
  • Other duties as described. - (Standard)

Job Type: Part-Time (less than 1,000 hours)

Pennsylvania Work Location Requirement: All work, teaching, meetings, and activities related to this position must be performed within the State of Pennsylvania. This position does not offer a remote work option.
