Job Summary: The Event Setup Assistant to help prepare campus spaces for a variety of events, meetings, activities, and special functions. This position is responsible for moving and arranging tables, chairs, furniture, signage, tents, cones, and other equipment to ensure that indoor and outdoor events are properly set up and ready for use. The ideal candidate will be flexible, physically capable, dependable, and willing to assist with a variety of setup and moving needs throughout the college. 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Licensing Requirements: Valid Driver's License

Hiring Range: $15.70

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ability to lift, move, and carry furniture, tables, chairs, and other equipment safely.

- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.

- Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow setup instructions.

- Good communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on campus events and operational needs.

- Previous experience with event setup, moving, facilities, maintenance, or general labor is preferred but not required.

  • Set up and arrange tables, chairs, and other furniture for meetings, classes, events, and special functions. - (Essential)
  • Reconfigure rooms and event spaces based on specific setup requirements. - (Essential)
  • Move furniture, equipment, and other materials throughout campus as needed - (Essential)
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down indoor and outdoor events. - (Essential)
  • Set up tents, traffic cones, barricades, and other equipment in parking lots and outdoor event areas. - (Essential)
  • Place and remove directional signage, event signage, and other displays. - (Essential)
  • Assist with preparing event spaces before scheduled activities and returning spaces to their original condition afterward. - (Essential)
  • Help transport supplies and equipment to various locations throughout the college. - (Essential)
  • Assist with general moving and furniture relocation projects as needed. - (Essential)
  • Ensure event spaces, walkways, and surrounding areas remain organized and safe. - (Essential)
  • Work closely with college staff and event coordinator to ensure setup requirements are completed accurately and on time - (Essential)
  • Perform other general labor and facility support duties as assigned. - (Standard)

Job Type: Part-Time (less than 1,000 hours)

If part time, hours per week: Up to 20

Pennsylvania Work Location Requirement: All work, teaching, meetings, and activities related to this position must be performed within the State of Pennsylvania. This position does not offer a remote work option.

The Workforce Development Instructor – Child Development Associate (CDA) – Spanish is responsible for delivering instructional and educational support to adult learners enrolled in the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preparation program.
