Job Summary: Under the direction of the Coordinator, Instructional Programs, the S.T.E.P Trainer is responsible for training of identified program participants . The incumbent will be responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the training program; conduct needs assessments, execute training, develop reinforcements and evaluate outcomes. Additionally, as applicable, the trainer will assist the Coordinator with other duties such as career/job coaching and engaging with business and industry. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience.*

Hiring Range: $32.00 - $37.00

Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years secondary or post-secondary classroom experience presenting workplace readiness strategies, such as soft skills, teamwork & collaboration, problem solving, communication, and conflict resolution.

  • Conduct specific training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of "soft skill" training programs and strategies - (Essential)
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all aspects of “soft skills” training programs. - (Essential)
  • Proactively work with the Management team to identify and resolve issues. - (Essential)
  • Engages with Business and Industry under direction of Director and Coordinator through career and job coaching - (Essential)
  • Create high quality deliverables within project budget and deadlines - (Essential)
  • Designs and evaluates programs to accomplish training objectives. - (Essential)
  • Operates a computer to gather data, do research, and generate reports - (Essential)
  • Conducts training and gives presentations. - (Essential)
  • Communicates via email, telephone, and in person. - (Essential)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. - (Standard)

Job Type: Non credit Instructor

If part time, hours per week: 5-20

Pennsylvania Work Location Requirement: All work, teaching, meetings, and activities related to this position must be performed within the State of Pennsylvania. This position does not offer a remote work option.
