Job Summary: This position will develop, implement and evaluate social media campaigns. In addition, the position will manage and monitor the College’s social media sites to recruit and retain HACC students and promote College initiatives.

Interview Process

The interview process for this position will consist of three phases. Applicants who complete the application process and meet the position minimum requirements will be invited to interview in phase 1. Candidates will be notified of their status after each phase to confirm if they are moving forward in the selection process. 

  • Phase 1: 30-minute interview with the search committee

  • Phase 2: 30-minute interview with the search committee (different questions will be asked), 30-minute written exercise; 30-minute presentation with the Office of College Advancement team 

  • Phase 3: 30-minute interview with the vice president of college advancement

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience*
*Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements: Valid driver’s license

Hiring Range: $48,182 - $60,227

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing HACC's values, mission and goals
  • Demonstrated professional and personal commitment to inclusion, diversity, belonging and equity; value and respect differences in race, ethnicity, age, gender/gender identity, religion and socioeconomic background

Job Specific Task List:

  • Develop, schedule, implement and evaluate creative, strategic and engaging multi-platform organic and paid social media campaigns 
  • Develop strategies to increase the College’s social media presence among target audiences 
  • Monitor performance analytics to guide best practices and increase engagement across social media platforms 
  • Manage and monitor HACC’s social media sites 
  • Align visual and audio pieces with the College’s branding standards 
  • Coordinate social media initiatives, including takeovers 
  • Incorporate artificial intelligence into social media campaigns 
  • Stay abreast of and implement social media trends across HACC’s social media sites 
  • Develop graphic designs using various software programs (including InDesign and Photoshop) 
  • Handle other duties as assigned 

Job Type: Full Time 12 Month

Work Arrangement:

The social media coordinator will have a hybrid work arrangement. They will:

  • Work from home approximately 70% of the time

  • Work from any of HACC’s five campuses approximately 30% of the time

These percentages are tentative and thus subject to change.
