Job Summary: Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or on-line) faculty hired to teach on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s). The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description.

Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes emphasizing college success skills, study skills, life skills, career development and decision making. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction including governance activities.

Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s). The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Education, Developmental Education, Adult Education or closely related field.

Classroom teaching experience.

Licensing Requirements: Please note that all teaching faculty are required to comply with PA Act 15. You will need to present completed clearances and training certificates at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of community college teaching experience.

Experience teaching college success skills.

Experience teaching developmental courses for college students.
