This position is responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating and improving comprehensive and robust academic advising service at HACC. This position monitors the effectiveness of the service, with a goal of ensuring that every student has a clearly articulated path toward degree/program completion, and is consistently enrolled in classes identified in their academic plans. The director ensures academic advising is delivered with the understanding that advising is critical to students' successful completion of their academic programs of study. The director also provides consultation and support to faculty and staff regarding academic advising issues, and ensures congruency and equity of academic advising at all HACC locations and virtually.
